Combination Ventilation System
The Solution for Basements and Crawlspaces that share air.
The basement/crawl space combo is for homes where the crawl space is open to the basement, and they share air.
Combination EZ Breathe Ventilation System:
Crawl Space Conditioner Ventilation device is installed on the floor of the basement with the standard basement chute in order to exhaust dirty air out at the sill or above ground.
The Crawl Space in-line booster fan is installed in the ceiling of crawlspace. This booster fan introduces conditioned air from the living space above into the crawl space, thereby assisting the ventilation process, pushing the dirty crawlspace air toward the exhaust unit.
These two appliances run in tandem, turning on/off by the same power source.
Effective Air Exchange. As the exhaust device creates a slight negative pressure at the basement floor removing the polluted basement and crawl space air, the dirty, damp crawl space air is replaced with conditioned air from the living space above via the booster fan, and the dirty, damp basement air is replaced with the air drawn down the basement staircase from the upstairs. This air exchange effectively removes the odors, mold spores, allergens, air borne contaminants, etc. from the basement and crawlspace and exhausts them to the outside resulting in a much-improved indoor air quality in both spaces.
Why Replacement Air Matters? Any ventilation is only as good as the conditioned replacement air, a good source of conditioned air will deliver the best results. Crawl spaces must have all vents to the outside sealed closed to ensure no air communication from the outside. A secure vapor barrier or concrete floor will be required for best results, as well as no water intrusion in the basement or crawl space.
When the crawl space is sealed from the basement, and they are two independent spaces, we recommend a ventilation system for both spaces, a basement system as well as a crawl space system in order to treat both spaces with ventilation and conditioned replacement air.

Understanding the Components of the EZ Breathe System
The EZ Breathe Combination Ventilation System consists of key components that work together to enhance indoor air quality. These components include a booster fan, an exhaust unit, and a control system that manages their operation, ensuring optimal air exchange between the basement and crawl space.
Each component plays a crucial role; for instance, the booster fan introduces conditioned air from the living space, while the exhaust unit creates negative pressure to remove contaminated air. This synergy not only improves ventilation efficiency but also helps eliminate odors and airborne pollutants effectively.
Benefits of Improved Indoor Air Quality
Improving indoor air quality through the EZ Breathe system has significant health benefits for homeowners. Cleaner air can reduce the prevalence of allergens, mold spores, and other contaminants that can negatively impact respiratory health.
Studies have shown that enhanced air quality can lead to better overall well-being, with fewer allergy symptoms and respiratory issues. By investing in the EZ Breathe system, homeowners can create a healthier living environment for themselves and their families.
Installation Process for the Combination Ventilation System
The installation of the EZ Breathe Combination Ventilation System is designed to be straightforward, ensuring minimal disruption to your home. Professional installation is recommended to ensure that all components are set up correctly and function efficiently together.
During the installation, technicians assess the layout of the basement and crawl space, determining the best placement for the booster fan and exhaust unit. This tailored approach ensures optimal performance and air exchange, maximizing the benefits of the ventilation system.
Maintenance Tips for Optimal Performance
Regular maintenance is essential for the EZ Breathe Combination Ventilation System to ensure it operates at peak efficiency. Homeowners should periodically check the system for any blockages or wear and tear that could impede airflow.
Additionally, cleaning the components, such as the booster fan and exhaust unit, can help maintain optimal air quality. Following the manufacturer's guidelines for maintenance will prolong the system's lifespan and ensure it continues to provide clean, conditioned air effectively.
